200 hour Yoga of India, 500 hour Art of Yoga, Modesto, E-RYT500, T-500
fun, fiery, spiritual
It sure beats a frontal lobotomy. Yoga both grounds us and frees us from the cages of our ego. I practice yoga to be reminded of our connectedness. The physical benefits are nice, too.
It affords me the opportunity to provide to students the same level of catharsis and chance for growth that my yoga practice has provided me. I get to facilitate the raising of consciousness with other people and thereby promote the opening of our heart’s door to more love and understanding.
Song: If it gives me goosebumps like Gospel or makes me cry like a good kirtan recording can. Fighting for the underdog, soldiering for love and healing, writing poetry until my fingers hurt or reading it until tears are rendered, my bhakti yoga practice, embracing my Jersey-girl honesty and shooting from the hip.
