I love how David cues into the next pose. There are a couple of things he does to keep a good flow, where someone with experience can just breathe. One thing he does is sometimes say, "On your next inhale" and it makes is so that you don't feel rushed into the next pose, and your breath remains undisrupted.
Really nice class to start the day when you don't have time for a full practice!
I enjoyed this flow, and the focus on a good morning stretch and getting the heart rate up just a bit.
At times, though, I feel like the instruction is off or not detailed enough to understand without interrupting a pose to look at the video. I just don't seem to have as much of a grasp on how I'm supposed to be focusing on a pose as with several other instructors here.
Perhaps try a level 1 class, they usually have more instruction to help guide you so you don't feel the need to look at the screen to know what's going on. Where as the level 2 and 3 have less because most student know the poses. It's odd at times, I know, but I hope it helps!
This is a great start to the day and sets me up for a calm and energized entry to the world! Thanks David!
I’ve begun to use it to warm up before going to my YW studio for a class. I find I need the extra warming up in the AM at my age. Terrific cueing.
Such an incredible morning routine that really gets me feeling relaxed, stretched out and mindful. Most importantly, I am ready to tackle the day afterwards!
very nice wake up flow:)
Perfect for a quick yoga practice in the morning before work. I really enjoy David's classes!!!
Just what I needed on a Monday morning! I feel warmed up and limber, but I didn't break a major sweat and need to shower. 20 minutes was the perfect time to reach feeling warmed up. David stretches out your spine, shoulders, and hamstrings with some sun salutations and twists. A truly doable Level 2 -- not difficult in terms of poses, but moves quickly and has less instruction than Level 1, which I loved because the practice zips right along.
Grateful for this practice. Clear instructions and smooth flow. I ended with a seated meditation. Savasana can be continued on your own.
Nicely paced, terrific cueing. Appreciate David’s style of teaching. This will be a regular one in my morning session rotations.
Clear direction, perfect tempo. Super start to my day.
Great sequence. It would be helpful if, in all of these videos, you would include some time for savasana and conclude the class after the posture is finished - it is a pose, after all!
Thank you so much for this Morning Flow. What a lovely way to start a day! Highly Recommend. I heart YOGA. : )
Loved this practice! Its the perfect length of time to wake you up on the morning and really helps stretch your muscles to get the day moving. Awesome flow and use of all 18 minutes.
This is one of my favorites and I will come back to this one often. The instruction was easier to understand and at a perfect pace for me. It was just enough to wake up without feeling strained. Thank you!!!
So good. Just what I want to start my day. Effective, quick, energizing, calming. Great guidance by David. Love.
Absolutely love this sequence. I have been doing it every morning before I start the day. It is exactly what you want in the morning - a few really great sun salutations, a quick mix of standing poses to open up the side, legs, back and arms, and a few seated poses. Gets the blood moving, the muscles warm and the body energized. HIGHLY recommend this!
Perfect way to begin your day~lovely, quick flow with sun salutations and a little core. Love this!
This was a very enjoyable way to get a quick morning flow in to wake up the body and start the day. Perfect length, calming poses. David's an excellent instructor, great pace.
Can only repeat what was said below, this is a great flow to start your day. Little sun salutations plus a few poses to release into your day. It gives your the opportunity to push yourself a little harder if you choose or you can ease into your practice with compassion :)
This quick but effective practice is quickly becoming my favorite way to start my day. It adds flexibility and calmness to my morning and even motivates me to do a longer practice later in the day. I love the Warrior 2 sequence and the twisting horse pose. I love Davids voice and direction, too.
Two of us just completed this sequence. The pace was just right and the cues easy to follow. We also like that there are only 2 students in the video. More would be distracting. No wasted moves here and a worthwhile 18 minutes. Recommend.
This is a wonderful and quick way to get moving in the morning - Davids descriptions and calm style are also such a great way to wake up. Thank you!!!
I actually enjoy this morning ritual and that is saying a lot! Love the pace and Davids relaxing energy. This is a go-to mini-class… Thank you!
Like your voice and style ; ) thanks
Thanks David, I Wake up to this class, and watch the sun rise. Just enough to get my body limber in a short time. Awesome
Exactly what it says it is! Great 20 minute morning sequence!
This is the perfect practice for when you've just woken up and need a quick flow to get your blood pumping and to clear out the morning cobwebs. Recommended props: 1 blanket
