Join Ashley in this 20-minute flow, the first part of her Mindful Backbends Series, as she systematically prepares your body for Wheel Pose, also known as Urdvha Dhanurasana. This practice focuses on the lower body, releasing and opening the hips while strengthening the back body. Ashley teaches the subtle actions of the legs that will support you in Wheel Pose, while emphasizing the importance of activating your deep core muscles to lengthen your lower back and safely open the front body. By engaging these foundational areas of the body, you will feel more secure and steady in Wheel Pose later on.
